I’m Hector Mota Daniel Leandro. But you can call me: Hector (Ekdor)
I’m a Latin American Illustrator, Concept Artist, and Storyboard Artist down in Tejas.
Born in Mexico, Ensenada, I grew up in a very work-driven family. After moving to the Lone Star State at the age of 4 I did most of my work for my mother, and despite most of the work I delivered ignored her guidelines as well as included a lot of copyrighted material, she was a very kind and supportive client that kept pushing me to go further.
As I grew up I traveled to many wacky worlds, whether they were the explosive planets from Ratchet and Clank, the dangerous lands of Bone, or the sweet Redstone Abbey of Redwall, I took in lots of inspiration from them as I tried to create my own interpretations of each world.
After honing my skills at Cleveland High School I decided to follow my passion for the arts and continue my studies at Lonestar College-Kingwood. Although it was originally for 3D animation, throughout my studies I found a love in the pre-production side of projects, with storyboarding, animatics, concepting, and building the foundation that would lead to the finished project.
Now fresh out of college with a degree in 3D animation, I’m ready for any kind of work for anyone who is willing to give me a shot.
